I have spent 25 years delivering enterprise digital. I created the enterprise WordPress team at Americaneagle.com and have grown it into a multi-million dollar success, working across strategy, AI, architecture and partnerships. I also sit on the WordPress VIP Advisory Board.

Every day, I help clients make decisions defining strategy for big organisations. I was working with an organisation that was overexcited about an intelligence layer - an AI brain - and they were going to spread it all over their site. I had to temper the client to think about their AI strategy: their scalability, how it could be implemented, and how the blast radius of any issues could be safely contained.

I designed a modular, scoped, locked-down intelligence layer rather than a nebulous agentic layer.

That is the work now: helping leaders turn AI pilots into systems they can trust, without betting the business on a hasty call.

I have worked with many household names over the years, including Sony, Sage, ITV, The Economist, Bacardi and Danone. I ran my own agency for 14 years. I introduced partners including Cloudinary, Algolia, Vercel and WordPress VIP to Americaneagle.com. At Americaneagle.com we were named Partner of the Year by both WordPress VIP and WP Engine for 2024, the first agency to win both.

I speak at events around the world, from WordCamp Europe to the WordPress Edge podcast, and I have fronted a national US TV campaign.

In a previous working life I did special effects on films, including Tomb Raider, Harry Potter, Batman Begins and Prometheus. It gave me a great insight into working under pressure.
